Help shape senior services - A conversation with Central MN Council on Aging
The United Methodist Church in Emily will host the workshop, "Help Shape Local Senior Services - A Conversation with the Central Minnesota Council on Aging" on Wednesday, October 4th, 3:00-4:30. The Council wants to learn from Emily area seniors and community members what services are needed and how they can best be provided. This is another in a series of Emily area community educational forums. The public is invited.
Many senior services are now provided by The Central Minnesota Council on Aging (CMCOA) and the Minnesota Board of Aging along with many local partners. They want to hear from members of our more rural outstate communities about the various senior services we need and their delivery. Community member input, ideas, concerns, hopes and suggestions are most valuable for future planning and implementation.
Kathy Gilbride, Eldercare Development Coordinator for the Council, will guide this conversation. To live well as we age includes so many matters: home services, medical, financial, legal, health insurance, transportation, memory concerns, home safety, housing options, in home care, advanced care planning, family support, the list goes on. This workshop conversation will give you opportunity to raise questions, look at your own situation, offer insights, and help shape area senior services.
Emily United Methodist Church is located across from the Emily Post Office near the intersection of Hwy 6 and Co. Rd 1. Questions? Contact person: Dan Klement, 218-566-2220.
