Hackensack's 13th Annual Chainsaw Event

As a part of Lakeland's annual Fall Has It All festival, Hackensack's 13th annual Chainsaw Competition begins at 9:00 a.m. Friday, September 22 with artisan booths and food vendors while sculpting begins. This event features 12 skilled carvers over three days. At 10:30 a.m. is All American Lumber Jack show.

Chainsaw Quick Carves begin at 12:30 p.m., with family fun beginning at 3:00 p.m. At 6:00 p.m. is horse racing, followed by music and a dance at 8:00 p.m., both hosted by American Legion Post 202.

Chainsaws will be ripping again Saturday, September 23 starting with an Auxiliary Breakfast at American Legion from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. Sculpting begins again at 9:00 a.m. Lucette's Kids Games kick off at the North Pavilion at 10:00 a.m., sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary Unit 202, followed by All American Lumberjack Show at 11:00 a.m.

Beginning at noon will be Chainsaw Quick Carves, Saturday's auction registration information and family fun and games. From 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. will be auctioning of the day's Carvings, followed by another All American Lumberjack Show and Spaghetti Dinner at the Fire Hall sponsored by Hackensack Area Fire and Rescue. To end the evening, music and dancing will commence at 8:00 p.m. until midnight, provided by American Legion Post 202.

To cap the weekend, come for Hackensack's Chainsaw Competition again Sunday, September 24. Sons of American Legion will host an omelet breakfast from 7:30 - 10:00 a.m. and sculpting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Sunday auction registration begins at 10:00 a.m. while All American Lumberjack Show is at 10:30 a.m. and family fun and games at 11:30 a.m. Finally, Sunday's auction of Chainsaw Carvings begins at noon.

Whether you visit for hand crafted wooden pieces, original jewelry, trinkets, dancing or fabulous food, there are no reasons not to visit Hackensack's 13th Annual Chainsaw Carving event as part of your Fall Has It All month!
