Bronze art piece arrives at Longville Library

The Margaret Welch Memorial Library is a proud recipient of the Local Library Art Aware Legacy Program Grant. It is through this grant that the Library was able to obtain a very special art piece designed and created by artist Paula Jensen of Earth Eagle Forge LLC.

Longville is the smallest town in the state of Minnesota to have a public library, which makes the Margaret Welch Memorial Library patrons very appreciative for the services that are available to them as part of the Kitchigami Regional Library System.

The Margaret Welch Memorial Library will be hosting a special program on Friday, May 5th beginning at 1:30 pm with a presentation by artist Paula Jensen at 2:00 in honor of the completion of the bronze sculpture piece titled "The Tree of Life and Learning". This creative piece represents the valuable role that the Margaret Welch Memorial Library provides for the betterment of the community. It reflects the library, its missions and its relationship to the community. Please come and enjoy this magnificent new library art piece and listen to artist Paula Jensen as she gives an informative talk on this very unique art style.

This Legacy Project was funded in whole with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4th, 2008 which dedicated funding to preserve Minnesota's arts and cultural heritage.
