During a special school board meeting held Thurs., April 6 the board voted to modify the 2016-17 calendar to make Friday, May 12 the last day of school for students. This will help in the preperation for moving day on May 18.
In other business:
The board approved the 2016-18 Master Agreement wth RLMSEA (Remere Longville Minnesota Schools Employees Association).
The board approved the advertising materials for the superintendent search.
In the work session, there was discussion of staffing needs for 2017-18, board meeting procedures, special election needed for the board vacancy temporarily filled last November by appointment and forming a subcommittee to work on revising the superintendent job description.
The board's next regular meeting will be Thursday, April 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Home Economic room at Northland High School in Remer.
